For schools

We provide staff CPD and/or assessed, engaging Computer Science programmes or PPA cover by fully qualified, experienced Computer Science teachers using our own mobile classroom (if required).

  • Computing programmes are available to be delivered at your school by fully qualified and experienced Computer Science teachers

  • Our teachers are insured and qualified to deliver classes without the need of your classroom teacher, making it ideal for PPA time*

  • You will not need to purchase or maintain your own computing equipment as we will bring our mobile classroom**

  • Per-pupil assessment will be provided to enable reporting of progress against National Curriculum levels

*however it may be more profitable to use sessions as staff CPD as well

**for your planning, it takes 20 minutes to setup the mobile classroom and likewise to put away

Year 4 - Explorers

Explorer sessions available:

  • Learn the fundamentals of computer systems

  • Learn how to respect computer equipment

  • Develop code based solutions (using Scratch)

  • Introduction to The x4 Principles of Coding (GCSE levels 1-4)

  • Introduction to The x4 Pro-Coder Rules (GCSE level 5-9)

  • Create fun physical computing games using Microbits

Our recommendation:

  • As with learning a foreign language the optimal solution is to offer weekly sessions. Due to the logistics of the mobile classroom it is best to book an entire day (9:00-3:00) which will give enough time for x2 classes of 30 students

  • Individual programmes are designed to fit roughly into a half term
